Christina and her husband, Ant, recently created the home of their dreams in a California contemporary-meets-boho style. With an expectant baby boy on the way, she designed this nursery to reflect the look and ambiance found throughout the rest of the home.

They emptied out the former guest room so that they had a fresh start to produce a charming nursery for their newest addition.

The room already features stunning architectural details: a wood plank ceiling and exposed beams, board-and-batten walls and expansive French doors and windows that fill the room with natural light. Christina ushered in tons of texture and pattern to create a warm, cozy welcome for her little one.

A relaxing glider is a must in any nursery since you spend most of the first year feeding and rocking your bambino, and probably most importantly, you need a place that's comfortable enough to rest your own head on sleepless nights.

Christina used her favorite shade — white — with a hint of wood and gray to set the scene for this nursery. Ant wanted to incorporate some color, so she brought in notes of blue in the crib sheets and changing pad cover.

Christina chose the Hudson crib from Babyletto for its low-profile, clean-lined design and it's grow-with-your-child capability, transforming from crib to toddler bed to daybed. Layered area rugs evoke a "comfort first" mentality that brings instant coziness to the nursery.

Stars are the limit with this gilded metal mobile from Pottery Barn Kids hanging over the crib. Designed by fashion designers Emily Current and Meritt Elliott, the mobile bestows an enchanted sensibility to the nursery.

Only sweet dreams allowed in this nursery. An oversized dreamcatcher makes a stunning bohemian statement while bringing rich texture and interest to the wall.

This woven table and chairs set that Christina found at Homegoods blends gray and white hues with pale woods.

An added benefit of the play table and chairs is it give siblings, Taylor and Brayden, a spot to hang out in the nursery and play or read books. Having a place for your older children in baby's room allows them to feel a part of the journey and be with you while you're taking care of the littlest one.

Curtains soften the windows and pull closed to block out the light when it's time for naps and bedtime. A gold pouf from Crate&kids delivers a pop of metallic glam to the mostly white palette.

The Featherly crib sheet from Olio Studios adds a touch of blue to the neutral color scheme. Pillows, pulling their hues from the bedding, deliver striped and geometric pattern to the whimsical setting.

The two-toned, mid-century modern dresser adds essential storage and doubles as a changing station. The pad is covered in the same Featherly pattern as the crib sheet to carry the theme across the room. Made from sustainable New Zealand pine wood, the Eero dresser from Babyletto uses a walnut finish on the top drawers and brass handles to convey warmth to the sleek white piece.

Open shelving is used to display beloved toys, easy-to-maintain succulents and of course, Christina's beloved crystals for good vibes. Numbered bins provide hidden storage on the top shelf for changing station essentials or to hide away extra toys.

One existing component Christina traded out was the star-shaped light fixture. To add a softer, natural element into the room, she opted for the Minna Three-Tiered Chandelier from Lulu and Georgia. Jute wraps around each layer for a refined organic aesthetic.

Not only do houseplants bring a touch of nature indoors, but they have a myriad of health benefits. They clean the air by absorbing toxins and producing oxygen, reduce stress and help boost moods. A fiddle leaf fig establishes chic structure in one corner of the nursery, while a woven basket of Monstera softens the opposite wall.

Modular seating, like the gold and woven poufs, give the other kids and Ant a place to sit when hanging out in the nursery while Christina is feeding or rocking the new baby. Woven baskets provide plenty of hidden storage — an essential in any kid's room.

It's hard to pass up on toys that double as décor, like this adorable hippo rocker from Crate&kids. Her son Brayden has already been seen rocking away on Instagram, so we'd say it's a hit.
